The Examen on YouTube :)

Today I saw a YouTube about the Ignatian prayer method, the examen (you can read more about the examen in this article at American Catholic), and I thought I'd post it here ....

Oh, and just saw another one on finding God in all things ....

I believe that God is in everything but I would also say that we should not condemn ourselves if we can’t find God in everything.

I recall in the pass talking to god from the heart when I thought that I wasn’t living the life that I should be living. From deep withing my heart I told God in so many words that I was going on in my normal way and if You don’t straightened me out, I promise that you’re really going to hear it from me when I get to the gates. Since then, I imagined hearing my heart asking me if I was serious to which in deep thought I said just try me. I wouldn’t recommend anyone try that unless they are truly prepared to be nailed to the cross which I don’t think would happen cause first of all, we wouldn’t be so lucky and secondly which is actually first, God would never let “IT’ happened if we truly spoke from our inner heart.

I could never put down on paper what I think He’s revealed to me for reasons of good and bad which we humans need to be balanced but I can’t honestly write it because of the injustice that I believe was done to me and my family in the pass. To be completely honest I would need to start naming names and that would be wrong and God knew this when He allowed His Son to be crucified.

I’ll be honest and say that if I didn’t believe in Jesus Christ I honestly would not be here now because the bipolar in me would have won the race before it was even started.

Let’s hear it for The Blessed Trinity who knew what He was doing and all His Angel Cells who are always ready and willing to help if we use our free will and ask for help but don’t start worrying about where that might lead US cause The Evil Trinity is bound to pick up a few spiritual cells from our heavenly body. I think that’s what Jesus meant when He said in so many words that if it was bad, pluck “IT” out.

Well as we know, I could go on and on in a circle chasing my tail but I think I’ll give “IT” a rest.

Thank You sinner vic :)

Hi Victor,

I told God in so many words that I was going on in my normal way and if You don’t straightened me out, I promise that you’re really going to hear it from me

I've done that too. Only time will tell, I guess.

Thank you Crystal, thank you Victor, you remind me that this is the meat of the matter for me, the thing I forget to do, the thing I keep drifting away from, but really the fundemental daily relationship with Christ that I know I must have if I am to change, if I am to contribute to this world.
